Stephenson, President of tho Wesloyan Methodist Conference took part in the services in memory of tho late Rev. C. H. Spurgeon. ....

The Presbyterian Assembly to-day adopted the following minute in referenco to the death of the late C. H. Spurgeon : —"That this Assembly having heard, along with the rest of tho Christian Church, of the lamented death of the Rev. C. 11. Spurgeon, of Loudon, rcsolvo to place on record an expression of the feeling evoked by the ovent. That feeling is one of very sincere gratitude and of very real sorrow. Tho Assembly recognises that, in the removal of Mr Spurgeon. a minister of Christ has passed away who belonged, not to a section of the Church, bub to the Church universal, and thoy look back wirh the utmost thankfulness on his now closed life—its abundant labours, its unlimited devotion and the increase which has come to the Lord's causo through it in different parts of the world, and in common with all other parts of the Church evangelical, they feel themselves smitten with a senao of a great loss. They would wish to offer their most sympathetic condolence to the beroavod widow and sons of Mr Spurgeon, and to tho great congregation to which he was for so many years been the pastor."
