Sir Michael Hicks-Beach having refused to denounce the favoured-nation clause ia the treaties with Germany and Belgium, has led to much disappointment in Canada, and the press there complain thab ib makes parleying wibh tho United States for reciprocity moro difficult. The Empire Trade Leaguo intend to carry on a vigorous campaign in England.
