INFLENZA AT PORT ALBERT.
AN OLD SETTLER DEAD.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
Port Albert, this day. Influenza is very prevalent at Port Albert and few homesteads have been exempt. There has been only one fatal case as yet, viz., Mr John Becroft, senior, who died yesterday, aged 78. Deceased was one of the original settlers here and a very successful orchardist, in which industry he was actively employed till Iris death. Noone was more respected here than Mr Becroft.
