The total quantity of wheat and flou r afloat for the United Kingdom ia 1,908,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,156,000. Shares in the Otago and Southland Invesbment Society are quotod at 5s ; Robert Campbell and Company, £4 ; Dalgetty and Company, £6 16s.
London, February 9,
Wool: Since dato of our last telegram nearly all descriptions have declined Jd per lb, except fine crossbred market unchanged and coarse crossbred market easier and lamb market unchanged. The American demand is good, but wools of a faulty character are neglected. The total quantity catalogued and withdrawn to date ia 164,000 and 15,000 bales respectively.
