Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Report.— Horse feed, grain, seed, etc. : Grain has been in rar.her brisk demand and stocks ample ; maize has been over-supplied, and prices have receded. Wβ quote :—Oats, 2s to 2s 4d per buphel; maize, Is 8d to 2s. Seeds are coming forward slowly, and values unsettled for new season. Oaten chafl, £2 15s per ton ; bran, £3 17s 6d to £4 per ton. Horses : There has been increased vitality in the market, larger numbers than usual have been brought forward, and found purchasers ab values showing an upward tendency. A large number were disposed of by auction at the Durham yards on Friday competition was brisk throughout, and most) of the lots were cleared. We quote: — Hacks, ab from £5 to £15 10s; the blood stock sold at from 15 to 43 guineas each ; light harness horses, £6 to £1110s ;mediumdraught, from£Bto£l4. Wool, bides, skins, tallow, etc. : Moderate quantities were pitched at the Durham Yards on Tuesday, for which there was steady competition at the previous week's valuee. Fewer stores than usual changed hands without alteration in values, while prices were in favour of the vendor in dairy and fat stock. There were barely an average muster ab Newmarket on Tuesday, and good competition throughout. The Pukekohe Yards were well filled on Wednesday, and the demand was pood ab the previous week's values. Some averages of fat steers were: £6 16s Bd, £6 14s 9d, £G 3s 9d, £5 4s 6d ; cows, £5 17s 6d, £4 15s, £4 2s 6d, £3 12a 6d, £3 7s 6d. Sheep : The Newmarket Yards were well filled on Tuesday, and the demand was steady throughout. Store ewes sold ab from 33 9d to 9s each ; lambs, 6a 9d ; fab wethers sold at from 11s to 13s 9d ; ewes, 93 to 11s ; fat lambs, 7a to Us each. Pigs : Very short supply.

Buckxand and Sons report that ab the Haymarkeb during the past weok oaten sheaves have brought from Is 9d to 23 ; meadow hay, Is 6d to 23 3d tho cwt; maizo, wholesale, on wharf, Is ; in store, Is lOd to Is lid ; oats, Is 9d to 2s 2d per bushel; chaff, £2 103 to £3 per ton. On : Friday a full number of horses were yarded, and for serviceable animals good prices obtained, ranging from £12 to £16, but weedy and inferior animals were at lower values. On Tuesday bides fetched in full number sold briskly ; best heavy ox, 6d ; heavy ox, 3Jd to 4£d ; light to medium, 2d to 3d ; cow, l£d to 2id; calf skins, 4d to 6|d the lb; tallow, 12s 6d to 15s 3d the cwt; sheepskins, 3s 4d; pelts, 4d to Iβ 8d ; lambsskins, Is 3d to 2s 10d each. Lambs' wool offered in increased quantity brought from 6d to 62d ; pieces, 2Jd to 5d the lb. At Waiuku on Saturday more sheep than usual were yarded, but cattle were in less number than usual. For cattle bidding was brisk, and full values obtained. Sheep were comparatively dull of sale.

Wanganui, this day. The firab day's sale at F. R. Jackson and Co.'s ram fair ab Wanganui yesterday was a great success. There was a large attendance from all parts of the coast and bidding was brisk and rapid. 552 rams were sold singly, averaging £5 Is 5d each. J. S. Holmes, Oamaru, topped the market for studs with 30' guineas, and W. Wilson, Elslea, for flocks with 17 guineas. J. Raynor, Wairarapa, made the highest average, £8 4s lid for 12 flocks. J. W. Baker Fordell got an averaee of £7 0s 8d for 25 flocks, and J. Wilson, Elalea, averaged £6 18s 9d for 60. The fair will be concluded to-day.
