THE GOVERNOR'S DEPARTURE.
At the invitation of bis Worship the Mayor, a meeting of citizens was held ab bhe City Council offices this afternoon, for the purpose of preparing a programme in connection with His Excellency bhe Governor's approaching departure from the colony. There was a large attendance. The Mayor stated that he had received the following telegram from Lord Onslow : —" As public mournine ends on sth February, I shall keep all engagements after that dabe." They could, therefore, proceed to consider how best bo give our worbby Governor a very kiudly send off.
