CANADA AND AMERICA.
WARSHIPS BEING BUILT BY
CANADA
Washington, January 19. It is reported that the Government are sending war material to San Francisco, and have contracted for the supply of twenty thousand tons of coal. The United States, fearing that Canada is building warships on Lake Ontario in violation of the terms of the treaty, threatens to build dockyards on the American shore of the lake.
