COLONIAL BORROWING.

NEW SOUTH WALES TREASURY BILLS SOLD.

[PRESS ASSOCIATION.]

[BY ELECTRIC TELEGKAPH—COPYRIGHT.]

London, January 19.

The whole of the Treasury bills issued by the New South Wales Government have been sold, the chief buyers being the large insurance companies. The " Standard " considers it a pity to see these bills coming to London, and adds that they ought to have been kept in the colonies, as the effect here will be detrimental to other colonial securities.

It is expected that the Victorian Government will succeed in disposing of its Treasury bills.
