London, January 18. The doctors have forbidden Her Majesty the Queen and Prince George, who has jusb recovered from typhoid fever, to attend the funeral of tho late Duke of Clarence and Avondale. The Queen holds a memorial service ab Osborne. No Princess will attend the funeral. Pathetic references to tlio young prince's death were made in St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey yesterday and other placos of worship throughout the country. The "Dead March" was also played. The family of the Prince of Wales and tbab of the Duke of Teck attended tho service in Sandringham church, where the body was removed. > Tho coffin, which was covered with a silken Union Jack, was decorated by the Princess Mary with a floral harp with broken strings. Wreaths to place on the coffin are arriving from all parts of Groat Britain and the Continent. The London police have beon placed in mourning. Prince Frederick (Crown Princo of Denmark) and Duko "of Oporto (brother of the king of Portugal) will attend the funeral. Immediately the new Khodivo landod in fc i ho wired a message of condolence to tho bereaved family.
The procession through the streets of London has been abandoned, owing to the fear that the troops who would necessarily be requirod to line the streets for hours would be subjected to oictremo cold and probably influonza.

Tho Duko of Anhalb and. Count Secckendorff represent tho Emperor of Germany and tho Empress Frederick at tho Duke's
The theatres are dosing on Wednesday.
The oliices of the Agcivts-Gemeral will be closed to-morrow on account of tho Duko of Clarence's funoral.
The body of tho deceased, prince has been viewed by a large number of people.
