Carbine.—The manager, reports that the reef in the drive south from the crosscut No. . level is yielding ore of payable grade. ' Otama.—The manager reports that in the south -end of the drive on th&-main leader, the lode is improvine; arid prospects very fairly. The reef north gives good mortar prospects, and may make a patch of specimens at any breaking down. Mariposa.—The manager reports thab good prospects are got in the winze each breaking down.

Alburnia.—The manager telegraphed ab noon:—"Broke down leader in drive east ot the break. Few pounds of picked stone."

May Queen. —The manager telegraphed: —"Rise in new section No. 4 lode holed through to the winze."

Hazelbank.—The manager reports thab the reef in the stopes on the eastern side averages about one foot, and colours of gold were seen when breaking down. About Bix pounds of picked stone were obtained from the sth stope. From tbe appearance of the reef in the fifth stope west of the winze picked stono may be obtained any time. Crushing is proceeding ; about 36 loads of quartz have been put through for 70oz of amalgam. There are 141b of picked stono on hand.

Saxon.—The manager wired to-day . "Forty pounds of picked stone from th" Btopes on No. 1 reef, east of No. 2 break."
