THE INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
London, January 16. Sir Edwin Arnold, author, is suffering from influenza and pneumonia.
Dr. Perowne, Bishop of Worcester, is ill with pneumonia, and hie condition is regarded as critical.
The Rev. Lanb Carpenter, Unitarian minister, has died from influenza.
Lord Abinger and Admiral Kelly have succumbed to influenza.
Stockholm, January 17,
Eifty-six thousand people are suffering from influenza in Sweden and Norway, the number having doubled during the past week. The mortality in Scandinavia is the highest in Europe.
