THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT TO THE WEST COAST.

jp i ■ . (BY TRLKfiKAPK—OWN CORRESPONDENT. J KnMARA, this day. The Governor and party had a lovely trip through glorious bush from Jackson's to Taipo, when rain came on. They were meb here by the Hon. Mr Seddon and the' Mayor and Councillors, who escorted,the Governor to Kutnara. On entering Kuinara the Catholic brasa band played the Governor to a raised platform, where tho Volunteers and band formed square during heavy rain. The Mayor , presented an address, the Governor replying. A Mayoral banquet followed, a large number being present. After the banquet the Governor visited the Hospital accompanied by the Mayor and Councillors. The party leave for Greymouth to-morrow morning, to attend the races. All the coast is in festivity just now. Ths mines have shut down for the holidays. Heavy rain is now falling.
