Arrived : S.s. Archer, from the pacific Islands, She reports that several gales have been experienced, xvhich have done considerable damage to the low-lying Line islands. While at Tokelau, Union Group, the captain of the Archer Heard that six Samoan. chiefs, followers of Mataafa, who are exiled there, complained of the bad treatment.to which they had been subjected, and declared they would prefer hanging to the present life they are leading. A quantity of the wreckage of the missing schooner Uvea, o! Samoa, has been picked up at the
