The prizes were distributed as follows : - Form Vl.—Nc-llio Gordon, first prize for attaining highest class marks during year ; Emily Craig, French and arithmetic; Mus"- Oaudiii, spelling and composition ; Lilv~ Swift, New Zealand geography (exam.) ; Agnes Mennie, drawing and pootry (exam.) ; Sophie Cruzckshank, general improvement. Form V.—Hafctie May Brignam, attaining hi"he sb c,aS3 marks during year; Iha Dick grammar and history exam. ; Elvina Lictle, application to her studies. Form IV —Maud Farrow, attaining highest claas marks during the year, and

first in examination ; *Lila Shailer, arithmetic. Fobw Hl.—Nelly Menzies, attaining first position in class ; Lizzie Ritchie, spelling and reading; Frances Fraser, history and geography (exam.). Form ll.—Aileen Haslett, attaining first position in class ; Emily La Nauze, higheet marks in examination ; Ida Kronfeld, diligence ; Jenie Porter, application to her studies. Fokm I.—Tom Hasletb, reading; Louis Nathan, spelling; Franz Teutenberg, diligence in school ; lsidor Levinsohn, improvement. A number of prizes were also awarded to the junior pupils. ' The following special prizes were awarded :—For conduct: Lila Shailer, book awarded by Mrs J. M. Brigham. Mapping : Agnes Mennia, Bible awarded by Pastor Birch, through Mr McLintock. Writing : Harriet Williams, handsome writing desk of oocoanut wood, awarded by Mr and Mrs J. Howard. Attendance : Maud Farrow. Latin aud Algebra : Harriet Williams, book, awarded by Mr McLintock (masker). For the most diligent conducb in school during the year: Nellie Gordon, book awarded by Rev. L. Out.ram. First prizo needlework : Emily Craig, work - case awarded by Mrs J. L. Wilson. Second prize needlework : Hattie M. Brigham, book awarded by Mrs Mennie.
