KOWALSKI CONCERT.

The concert given by the Ilowalski Com* pany last evening was, like its predecessors, a musical treat. The duo between Miss Griffiths and Herr Pechotsch, with which the concert opened, was warmly applauded. Miss Vanderveer-Greene sang a Spanish song, " In Sellilla," which was quite new to most present, and which roused considerable enthusiasm. In response to a determined encore she sang Tosti's "Venetian Song," given so successfully ab a previous concert. Miss Rossow was in splendid voice, and sang with great ease and puriby. Mons. Kowalski played his celebrated " Marche Hongroise" with Miss Griffiths, and was very vigorously applauded. Hβ was also hoard to the very fullest advantage in Chopin's "Polonaise in E Flat," which gave a splendid chance for the display of technique and execution. Herr Pechotsch's violin items contributed groatly to- the success of the concert. Ho is a finished violinist, and produces a full, mellow tone. His execution in Artot's "Sonnambula" was excellent, and even more commendable was his reudering of the violin pure of the duo with M. Kovvalski, Rubenstein's " Sonata 13." .

Another concert is to be given to-night, and an excellent programme has been. arranged for. ' i '.
