BOXING DAY.

Ferry Steamers. —On Boxing Day steamers will be running to St. Helier's Bay, Devonport and Northcote and Birkenliead at short intervals. launch Beatrice will run an excursion to Mobutapu, leaving Ferry tee at 9.30. On Monday nexc she will also run to the same placo. Helping Hand Mission.—One of the most attractive picnics for Boxing Day will be that cfc the Helping Hand Mission to, St. Helier's Bay. The facilities for enjoyment and convenience to town are excellent recommendations. At the ordinary fare, ticket holders will be provided with hob water. Steamers leave at nine and ten a.m. accompanied by the Mission Band. Northern Company Excursions.—The Clansman will leave for Mahurangi Pleads, and the Wellington for Waiwera, at 10 a.m. on Boxing Day. Tho.se who prefer a trip down the channel, large steamers and beautiful scenery, cannot do bettor than get on board one ot these line vessels. The retorn fare by each steamer is ss, tickets issued by the Wellington being available for return on Monday next. Primitive Methodists. —At 8.30 a.m. the Coromaudel will leave for Pubiki Bay, Waiheke, with the Alexandra-street Primitive Mechodisb Sunday-school and friends. St. James's Congregational Picnic.— The new ste&met Waiotahi has been secured for an excursion to'Motuihi with St. James's congrogabioQ and friends,- leaving the wharf at 9 a.m., returning at 6 p.m. Return fare 2s, including tea. . Tabernacle Picnic.—A picnic in connection with the Baptist Tabernacle will be held at the Pah Farm, Onehunga, which may he reached by tram and 'bus from Threo Lamps a$ 9 a.m., and from Tabernacle from 9.15 till 10 a.m. Return fare, Is 6d; children 9d, hot water included.

United Methodists.—The annual picnic and eports are to be held at Motutapu. The steamer Ohinemuri leaves Queen-street Wharf ab 8 a.m. Tickets Is 6d, children Is, hot water provided.

Railway Excursions.—Excursion tickets will be iaaued ab Auckland, Newmarket, Onehunga and Otahuhu. till January 2nd inclusive, available for return until January 12bh, at reduced rates to Ngaruawahia, Hamilton West, Ohaupo, Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Morrinsville, Te Aroha, Okoroire and Oxford. Amusements. — The Kowalski Concert Company at the City Hall, and the Great Allied Show at the Opera House, will provide excellent amusement for Saturday evening. The latter combination comprises Messrs Hayes and Brilliansa's Circus Company, minus their horses, which are in quarantine. Their performance will include a dancing globe exhibition, the infant Blondin on an invisible wire, tumblers, acrobats, leapers, Dutch sketchea and eccentricities, dances, herculean feats, Japanese balancing feats, contortion and juggling acts. These with the Customary clown business should provide a good programme.
