" Although Messrs Kirkpatrick and Co. purchased all she suitable; Fruit they could obtain last season, their stocks of Jams, etc., were exhausted some weeks ago, and. for more tuan.a month past they have been unable ta fulfil orders. This fact, though in one sense unsatisfactory to the firm named, is gratifying, inasmuch as it proves the deservedly high favour in which the 4 K" Jains are held throughout the colony. This result is also of considerable intereet to the local fruit-growers, for it is an indication that during the coming season there will be an increased "demand for suitable fruits. Measrs Kirltpatrick have had many difficulties to contend with in the past, but having established a reputation for their goods above that enjoyed by other makers, there is every indication that the demand for their preserves, will increase year by year.
