Nominations for the Takapuna Cup of 200sovs, Firsb Handicap Steeplechase of 120sov8, T.J.C. Handicap of 75sovs and Second Handicap Steeplechase close nexb Friday night. Acceptances and entries for the Thames Jockey Club Meeting are due on Friday night next. Mr S. H. Gollan came over bo Auckland from Melbourne this week. Alick Williams, who got so heavily thrown from Neck-or-Nothing in the Takapuna Steeplechase, was able to be about town this week. A meeting of owners of ponies is called for Monday nighb next at the British Hotel, when the question of forming a Pony Association will be discussed. The annual races ab Churchill will be held ou Monday, the 28th December. MiHarry Massey is the Secretary.
