Competitors must appear in proper Coatume, or they will not be allowed by the Committee to start tor any event. Any Competitor after being warned ONCE by the Starter, will be put back one jard; second time, two yards; third time, the titarter will disqualify him. Competitors must be on their mark by the second time of the bell ringing. Each event will be started by report of pistol. All disputes to be referred to the Sports' Committee, whose decision shall be llnal, and not subject to any acti n at Law. All protests must be lodged with the Sports' Secretary within . fiftoen minutes after the finish of a disputed Raco or Heat, othorwise they will not be recognised, A fee of Five Shillings must accompany protests made by Contestants, and should the protest be considered frivolous, the fee shall bo declared forfeited. Should any Race be declared a tie, the parties tieing must decide within llfteen minutes whether they will race again; if so, they will be allowed fifteen minutes to rest. Should they deuline to race ofl*. the Committee will, if possible, divide the Prize. The Committee reserve the right to strike out any event through insufficient entries, or other causes. Trainers or the Public will not be allowed on the racing track. Each Competitor entering for Society Races must state ou his entry form what Society he is a member of. All Competitors must send in their performances for the preceding two years. • Competitors in the Sack Race to lie on their backs till the pistol is fired. All Competitors on coming on to the track must pass the Judgcß and tell the Judges their names, before they get on their marks to start in any Race.
