THE BOOTMAKERS DISPUTE.
A deputation of the Wellington Operative Bootmakers' Union waited on Mr Hannah, secretary of the Master Boobmakers' Association, yesterday, requesting the latter fco fcall a meeting of manufacturers to consider the question of holding an open conference. Mr Hannah wished the matter to be pub in writiug.and this the employees promised to do. At a meeting of operatives some married and single men intimated their intention of leaving for Australia.
