Melbourne, this day. 1 At Flemingbon this morning Stromboli ran a mile in lmin 48Jsec. Corvebbe and Empire got over the same distance in lmin 49sec, and Marvel easily in lmin 50sec. Bungebah compassed a fast mile, leaving the last six furlongs behind in lmin 19sec. Whimbrel swept round the sand ttack in 2min 33sec. Forty Winks and Hero were sent a ninefurlong task, which was accomplished in 2min 4sec. SCRATCHINGS. The following ecratchings have been posted : — CauxfieldCcp.—Whakawai.DonGiovan, Affiance, Yowi, Eureka, Linburn and Freedom (Victoria). ■ Melbourne Cup,—Adventurous. Malvolio has been well supported for the Melbourne Cup, and lasb night 6,000 to . 500 was accepted aboub his chance. 100 bo 12 is now the beat offer.
