Thursday.—Gairloch leaves for New Plymouth at 10a.m."; Douglas for Whingamata and Whakafcane at S a.m.; lona leaves for Kuaotunu and Mercury Bay at 9 p.m.; Wellington arrives from WhangaTei; Glonelg arrives from Opunake and Wanganui. Friday.—Clansman, arrives from Russell early, and leaves for Tauranga at 7 p.m.; Wellington leaves for Maisden Point and Whangarei ab 10.30 p.m. ; Glenelg leaves for Hokianga ab 1 p.m. : Thames Service.—Argyle or lona leaves for Thames daily.
• The s.s. Wairarapa went up to the Bay of Islands last evening to coal.
The locally - owned barquentine Handa Isle was to leave Newcastle for Auckland with coals about the beginning of thie week.'
The 8.8. Australia leaves Wellington today and is due here next Monday with the Auckland transshipments ex R.M.s. Kaikoura from London.
Dredger No. 121 will probably leave for Melbourne again to-morrow. Today a portion of a new crew for her were shipped at the Customs, including some firemen and two trimmers.
The R.M.s. Mariposa, having left San Francisco one day Jate, is not due here until Friday morning next. She may, however, make up the lost time, and put in an appearance here to-morrow.
The Thames steamer Rotomahana made her firflfc trial spin this morning after her extensive overhaul. The Northern Steamship Company will place her in the Thames running agaiu very shortly.
Captain N. Svandsen, late of the schooner Louie, is to take chavgo of the s.s. Ruby, of the Hauraki Steamship Company's river fleet. Captain Bettis, of the Ruby, will now take command of the new steamer Paoroa.
The barque Himalaya, having discharged all her London cargo for this port, is now ready for sea, and will proceed to Timaru in a day or two with part cargo from London, some 600 tons in all, including about 300 tons of manure.
The Northern Steamship Company recommenced their Great Barrier service last evening by sending the s.s. Douglas round to that locality 10 call at several porta. The Company now receive a mail subsidy from the Government for this service.
