ST JAMES'S CONCERT.
The great success that attended the recent concert and exhibition of tableaux in St. James'e Hall resulted in the repetition of the latter last evening, a new musical programme being inserted between the scene*. Another large audience aHsembled, and the following tableaux were excellently represented,:— "Jessie's Dream," "Come Under my Plaidie," scene from "JuLsus Csesar," " The Gipsy Fortune-tellear," "Cinderella," "Prince Charlie in Hiding After Culloden," and " Britannia and her Daughters." Nearly all these scenes were encored. Mr Smith officiated as etage manager and Mr Isaacs manipulated the lights. Amongst the soloists Mrs Wright sang " On the Banks of Allan Water" and " Cloee to the Threshold;" Miss Mercer, " A Dream of Peace ;" Miss Edmunds, " Darby and Joan;" Miss Reid, " Dear Little Shamrock;" Mr Simma, " The Angel at the Window ;" And Mr Edgar Walton, " Oh, Oh, Hear the Wild Winds Blow." Mr Edmiston read "Robin Rigg." A pianoforte solo was played by Miss Scott, and a violin solo by Master R. Walton, " Home Swe&b Home" (Ganz). The glees "Carnival" and " Forester, Sound the Cheerful Horn," wero rendered by the choir, led by Mr Walton, and Messrs Peace, Cousins, Barblett, and Wai Sou sang the quartette, " Spring's Delights," in a manner that elicited an encore. An amusing finale was " Do Leetle Sherman Band." ■
