TRADES UNION CONGRESS.
THE EIGHT HOURS LIMIT.
London, September 7. The Trades Union Congress met at Newcastle to-day. A resolution was submitted to the effect that the Government, in concert with the foreign executives, ought to arrange for a legal limit of eight hours ; and also demanding that an international conference on the subject should be convoked. There is great division of opinion among the delegates on the great question thus raised.
