INTERPROVINCIAL FOOTBALL.

AUCKLAND V. WANGANUI,

(aS^ELEGRVPH. —SPECIAL REPORTER. )

Wanganui, this day. We arrived here about two o'clock, after a pleasant though Bornewhat monotonous journey. The Tukapuna lay off at New Plymouth, and we landed in surf boats, and were only just in time to catch the express. More than half the team had to start without their breakfast. We were met at Aromobo by a number of the members of the Wanganui Rugby Union, who accompanied us to Wanganu', where a lai'ge crowd was assembled to greet us. We were driven in brakes to Victoria Hotel, where we are all comfortably settled. Our boys are all well, and had a good useful exercise yesterday afternoon. We expect a hard game to-day. The Auckland team is mosb fancied. The team is tho same as played againeb Thames, wibh one exception—F. Murray replaces R. Caulton in the forwards. All fehe members of the team are in grand fettle. Ib ia fully expected they will win, although the team against them is very good. The Aucklanders were taken a drive in a brake this morning by the members of the Wanganui Rugby Union. They will be entertained .at a smoke concert in the evening, and leave for Hawera tomorrow morning.
