Ab the wool sales to-day 13,638 bales were catalogued. There was a good attendance of buyers and the competition was keen. Prices realised were from par to 5 per cent, below the July sales. The decline was chiefly in medium and inferior wools. The arrivals number 416,000 bales. 70,000 have been sent forward, and fcha number available is 35,800.
_ A strong " bear " movement in the continental wool markets is causing depression in River Plate tops.
