KAURI GUM MARKET.
Auckland, June 18th, 1891: Since last mail the kauri jrum market has steadily and rapidly risen, and prices to-day are fully £'o higher than was reported in our last summary, and tho tendency appears to be still upward. Supplies from mail to mail are about 460 tons. The exports for the month are 450 tons per Alice, which sailed for New York on 6th inst, and 36 tons per Matatua to London. The Annie Reed is loading for New York, and the Blenheim for London. We quoto :—

Supplies from mail to mail, 510 tons. The supplies for the month are below the usual average, and the quality has not improved as it usually does at this time of tho year. Prices havo advanced during the month, owing to tbo ehorb supplies and m brisker demand. The departures have been :— Tons. Per Mariposa, for San Francisco ... 4 Per Matatua, for London 42 Per Wairarapa, via Sydney, for Loudon 22 Per Rotomahana, via Sydney, ior London 34
Per Alice, for New York 460 The barque Blenheim is loading for London, and the Annie Reed for New York, to be followed by the barque Motley, for New York, at the beginning of July.
Juno 17. The Gum Committee report as follows for the week ending Juno 17th : — Good ordinary £40 Poor ordinary £34 to £36 East Coast £58 Supplies from Ist June to date: 305 tons. Prices keep steady; supplies are below the average.
