THE FIRE AT SEA.
London, June 16.
Further details of the Inman liner on fire at sea, state that in the morning a steamer arrived near the s.s. City of Richmond and stood by her all day in readiness to transship the passengers and crew if the necessity arose. The flames were battened down and the steamer kept on her course. In the evening the Cunard steamer Servia hove in sight, and she escorted the burning steamer to Queenstown, where her passengers were landed safely. Her cargo is still burning.
The captain and crew of the City of Richmond behaved with the utmost coolness and bravery.
