LONDON BUSMEN.
London, June 12. The strike of omnibus men threatens to be prolonged, as both masters and. men refuse to make further concessions. Ten thousand hands are out, and collections are being made in the streets for their support. The directors of the London General Omnibus Company and the Road Car Company refuse to confer with the men out on strike, and threaten, unless the offer they made a few days ago is accepted, to engage new hands, in which case they will not give employment to any of their old hands, even although they may agree to accept their terms. The Chairman of the London Genera! Omnibus Company asserts that it would cost the Company a year to accede to the men's demands. The concessions which the directors have offered to make are equal to a year. Lord Mayor Savory is mediating in the dispute.
