Sergeant McLauchlin, oi Violet Town (Victorian Rifles), won the first prize at the military tournament for tilting in the ring. Private Mawley, of Sale, in Gippsland, tied for first prize in tentpegging with the highest possible score. Mawley and Corporal Martin, of Thoona, tied with three others for second prize at lemon-cutting.
