The Oaks Stakes of 4,ooosovs, for the winner, 400?ovs for the nominator of the winner, 300sovs for the owner of the second, and 200sovs for the owner of the third, for fdlies, Bst lGlb each. About a mile and a-half.

AUCKLAND WINTER MEETING
Ab Ellerelio this morning a number of horses were at work in view of tho A.R.C. Winter Meeting. Criminal and Duadine were out. Tho lattor was schooled over the stone wall. He iaa moat beautiful fencer. Brown. Bess did slow work with the view to keeping in trim for Sydney. Loch Ness did two circuits at threo-aunrter pace (with neck sweaters on). Ho went well. Prisoilla beat Bon Voyage over one round at tcp. Bryan O'Lynn did three medium rounds, and Nock or Nothing four rounds. Doloea worked outside tho hurdles on tho course, and ran a railo in lmin 54sec. Yum Yum did halfpnco work. Williamson'* horses were absont. It is stated ho works his team in tho vicinity of One Troo Hill and at the old Onohunga course.
