Comix Moth (" A.8.">.-The best thing that you can do at present for the codhn mothjs to pick up every apple as it falls w> the ground, and. if the grubs are still in it, have the fruit cut up and destroy tie grub. You also might tie bands of old sacking all round the bole of the tree. The grub would find these convenient places for hiding in throughout the winter. After all the jrrubs have tone to rest, these pieces of sacking couJa be urned, by which means all the grubs which, have taken refuge therein will be destroyed. Another good plan would be for you to give the bole of each tree a good washing with a strong mixture of Paris green and water. This should be well worked into tho crevices of the bark. A large number of the gruba will have taken up their quarters in those crevicos, and if the wash is applied before they have begun to spin their cocoon, the Paris green will kill them. It is no use to syringe with Faris green at this season; the best time to syringe is early in the spring, just as tho fruit has formed, and up to the time that the fruit ia standing upright on its stalk.
