POISONED BY EATING TRIPE.
An elderly man and his son, both named Richard Wtokcfi, died on Sunday last at Adelaide, having been poisoned by eating bad tripe. A:i inquest waa opened nsxr, day, when Dr. Robert Stewart testified that on Saturday ho found thu older one of the two mon sulloruig from internal pain in tho abdomen and from vomiting aud collapse. A post-mortem examination revealed a number of email white particles about the stomach, and he attributed death to acute diarrhoea and vomiting, but an analysis must be rcnrlo of the contents of the stomach before the caiuo of the illness is known. Dr. K. IT. Martin, who attended the junior deceased, na,ul that tho illness must have boon due to the introduction of some irritant 1.0 tho stomach. The inquiry was adjourned for a fortnight to allow an analysis of tho contents of tho stomach to bo made.
