EXCITEMENT AT THE CAPE.
DECISIVE ACTION DEMANDED,
Capetown, A pril 22.
The Africander Band are now disposed to favour Mr Rhodes's suggestion that they should avoid collision with the Boers.
The African Company at the Cape is excited owing to a report that Lord Salisbury has not taken more decisive measures than to remonstrate with Portugal.
The Cape " Times" hints significantly that it would be advisable to lower the British standard.. :
