AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKET.

Auckland, April 23. Farm .and Dairy Produce. — Wholesale; Butter, prime fresh, 8d: second quality, 6d ; third do, 4d; cheese, good factory, 4d; dairy, 3j.d; fresh eggs, Is 6d per dozen: lard in bladders, 41d; haras and bacon (Canterbury), equal numbers, 7d, sides only, 6Jd; hams, BJd (all clothed); local cure hams and bacon, 6d to 6id.

Flour Market.—Wholesale flour pricee are much advancing, and the market being so unsettled, it is impossible to quoie definitely. Bran, £3 10s ; sharps, £4; cabin bread, £15 ; oatmeal, 2b's, £910s: Southern oats, 2s to 2s2dper bushel: fowl wheat, 3s 6d; prime milling wheat, 4s to 4s 3d: maize, 2s 8d; potatoes, £3 10s per ton; local wheat, 3s 6d; pearl barley, £18. Coal and Firewood Market.—Many of the following quotations are nominal:—Newcastle coal at yard, 32s ton; Bay of Islands, at mines. 13s; at yards. 24s ; steam. 24s : house, delivered, 30s: Waikato, at mines, Bs, 12s; town, 18s to 225; Taupiri, at mine, Bs, 12s; at Auckland, steam. 17s 6d: household, delivered. 24s to :25s : Kamo, 11s : yard. steam, 17s 6d; household, 23s ; delivered, 26s ; Miranda, at mines, 7s to 10s ;at Auckland, 17s to 20s. Kauri Gem.-The local gum market is still very weak, and in all except East Coast gum, is stagnant. Owing to the absence of buyers low prices are still maintained. At present there are very heavy stocks on hand, and quotations are very unsettled. Wβ quote—Ordinary parcels, fair to medium, £34 to £35; superior. £38; East Coast, £56. Supplies for month to date are about 490 tons, and from mail to mail 625 tons.
