The Manipuris are preparing to resist the advance of the British troops.
Official reports from Manipur srate that during the truce Mr Quintan and his part/, who were without escort or arms, were seized by the rebels while he was parleying with the chief Senapati, who provoked the revolt:.
Calcutta, April 20.
Further fighting has taken place between the Miranzais and British troops resulting in the former being dislodged from the hills. The casualties on the British side were eleven killed and wounded.
