AUCKLAND AUTUMN MEETING.

Mr Evitt has declared the following handicaps in connection with the Autumn Meeting of the Auckland Racing Club :— Onslow Stakes, three-quarters of a mile.

Acceptances aro due to-night. Some serviceable work was got through at Ellerslie this morning in view of the A.R.C. Autumn Meeting, which takes place on Easter Monday and Tuesday. Vendetta was of no use to Coalscuttle in a gallop over a mile and a-half. Coalscuttle is looking very well. Fie*ole, Reprisal, and The Workman wero associated together in a fast gallop over six furlongs. Antelope did medium pace work, brushing home fast. This mare is doing good work. Hopeful Kate and Minnie did twice round at top, and tho two-year-old Dishonour (who looks very well) did solid work. The jumpers Ingorangi and Nap worked in company. There is little wagering over the meeting. Hilda and Sentinel is the nominal favourite double for the Cup and Steeplechase. Today B's to 1 were wanted aboub Cissy coupled with Sentinel.

The Napier Park races were concluded yesterday. Thane (by Sword Danco—Lady Mersey) won tho Two-year-old Handicap, Caitiff the Hurdle Race, and Swivel the Waverley Stakes. The sum of £10,927 was passed through the totalisator during the two days of the meeting. The payment of stakes over the recent Helensville races took place on Wednesday night. The meeting proved a financial success, and the Club now have a credit at tha Bank. Ab the Mauku races on Tuesday, Bryan O'Lynn won bhe Cup, Steward's Handicap and Flying Stakes. Fusilier (by King Quail) got home first in bhe Maiden Plate.
