MASONIC.
The following resolution was unani' mously agreed to by Lodge Sir Walter Scobb, N.Z. Consiibubion, ab an emergency meeting held at the Thames on March 24 s —-"Thab this lodge desires to express its deep regret at tho unhappy differences which have prevailed amongst the lodges oi the colony during the last twelve months, and its hearty approval of the efforts made by His Excellency Bro. the Earl of Onslow to promote a better understanding and more fraternal feelings, and believing that) in a great measure this object has been attained, this lodge would most respectfully urge His Excellency to complete his good work and permit himself to be nominated for the position of Grand Master at tha next communication of the Grand Lodge to be held at Invercargill on the 10th April next." The Scinde Lodge of Freemasons at Napier also passed a resolution asking the Earl of Onslow to permit himself to be nominated Grand Master of the New Zealand Lodge. The Pasb Grand Secretary, Bro. Robert-, son, has received a communication from tho Grand Orient of Spain expressing pleasure in recognising the Grand Lodge of New Zealand, and desiring to enter into fratorn*! .relations.
