THE OTARAWA.
The New Zealand Shipping Company's new cargo - steamer Otarawa (formerly Seaking) is now at Lyttelton port, loading frozen meat, etc., for Home. _ This is her maiden voyage. Her dimensions are : — Length between perpendiculars, 365 f t; beam, 44"2 ft; and depth of bold, 19"4 ft, or 22ft moulded. This gives a register of 2,460 tons, or a gross measurement of 3,808 tons. The holds have capacity for 63,000 carcases meat.
