THE IRISH LEADERSHIP.

McCarthy's .tactics.

DELEGATES FOR AUSTRALIA.

London, February 20. Mr Justin McCarthy, M.P.; feels that in face of the aid contributed to Home Rule by the colonies on the occasion of Mr Dillon's visit, some personal explanation of the split and its causes is due to the colonial supporters of Home Rule. He has, therefore, appointed Messrs T. D. Sullivan and Cox to visit the colonies on behalf of his section of the Irish party. The Earl of Zetland is paving a visit to the west of Ireland.

Messrs Dillon and O'Brien have been removed to Galway Gaol. Mr O'Brien's health (never very strong) has broken down under the strain of recent excitement and work, and the authorities have had to remove him to the prison infirmary. Mr Dillon is still in his cell.

The secedeis send a delegation to America on behalf of the evicted tenants' fund.
