SIXTH—Tho Accumulated Fund was increased during the year by the sum of £•742,311, equal to per cent, of the gross premiums received. SEVENTH—The deaths among lives assured were 649 under ?35 policies, causing claims upon the Society amounting to £299.602, irrespective; of Bonus additions, while >$he number; expected according to the Tables used in estimating the liabilities would) . . have been 1,1_3, for an amount of £488>9 , -6, the mortality experience being thus extremely favourable. EIGHTH—The receipts from interest and rents were £616,832, an amount exceeding the sum paid for the claims by £138,952.
