(BY TELEJRAriI,— SPECIAL REPORTER.) Wellington, this day. Miss has created quite a stir throughou: the country by her charges against th« management of the Auckland Hospital. Mr Mitchelson has received a telegram on the subject from Mr James Russell, Auckland, insinuating thab Mr Rees has caused tho postponement of the inquiry. Mr Reeves, Minister of Justice, denies this accusation, and says the inquiry was postponed owing to what he had gathered from tho papers on the subject in the office. The Government wished to thoroughly inquire into the subject, and whether or no the Commission as at present constituted is a fib one. Tho Government has beou informed tbat Dr. Gilos is a retired practitioner, a friend of Dr. Collins', and Dr. Hassell they think is no doubt another friend. Again, Dn. Gilea has all through wished to be reliered from appointment. The Commission is not cancelled, but its meeting is adjourned for further inquiry. Mr Rees states that ho simply laid the circumstances before tho Premier for tho consideration of ths Government. The matter came before Parliament yesterday upon a queltion put by Mr Mitchelson, when theso explanations were elicited.
