THE ZANZIBAR DISPUTE.
London, January 27. In the House of Commons Sir. James Fergusson stated that it was unlikely that the convention to be submitted to the Portuguese Cortes respecting Zambesi and the River districts would be favourably considered, as the one previously submitted was not ratified. The statement that a Mozambique Company had been granted a charier for the purpose of exploiting Portuguese East Africa is unfounded.
