An examinabion for two Opera Club exhibitions of £20 each will ~be held on Wednesday, the 12th inst., and will be open who have attended the College lectures on mupic during the present year. An examination for two entrance exhibitions in. music of £15 each will be held in March nexb.
A meeting of the Committee of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club was held ab half-pask'-one to"-day. 'A large number of new members, -aboub 60, were elected, bringing bhe total number on the books of the Club up bo over 220. As many of the new members aro intending competitors ab the. sports on November 22nd there should again be splendid contests. Entries for the sports close on Saturday evening next.
