OUR GOLDFIELDS.

Try Fluke.—The mine manager reports that a decided improvement has taken place in the low level. The reef is fully 5 teet in width, and gold is visible in some of the stone. At the intermediate level north the reef is 8 feet wide, and the hangingwall portion produced fair crushing dirt. The footwall portion is poor, but all is treated at the battery. In No. 7 stope south the reef is 5 feet wide and bears average crushing ore. At No. 7 north the reef is 8 feet wide and gives small dish prospects. A man has been put on to fill up the stopes that have been worked out. The total amalgam on hand to date is 4830z, of which one-third is gold.

Red Mercury.—The mine manager reports that the drive north has been advanced eight feet. The reef is larger and in better country for working. The ore coming to hand is of high grade, and should give a handsome return when treated.

Isvtcta. — Tho mine manager reports thab two nice-looking leaders have boon cub close to the reef.

Hazelbank,— The manager reports that gold ha 3 been freely seen in the Young American lode.

New Moanataiari.— The mine manager reports that at the 200 feeb level the men are now driving on a body of stone a foot in thickness westward of the break. Nemesis.—The manager reports that he has picked up the reef at the low level. No. 2 reef shows fair prospects of gold. Bonanza. —The manager reports that a man has been engaged making a track so as to connect No. 2 level with No. 3, which will be started between the Arizona and Bonanza Companies. The track is to enable the Company to get away any quartz as soon as the reefs are cut in this level. The manager himself hae been prospecting on the line of the reef No. 2 south, and found encouraging prospects. Parties visiting the ground were much pleased with the prospects discovered. Arizona.—The manager reports thab he has been driving a crosscut to cub No. 2 lode about 25ft below the surface. The country is splendid sandstone, well mineralised. It ie expected that in about a week the lode will be well in hand carrying payable gold. Ho considered thab the prospects on the surface were equal bo anything in Kuaotunu, and when cub ab a deeper level in bluish country, the,gold will show more freely in the stone. -

Perseverance. —The manager reports that he is getting very good prospects in No. 1 reef., Anew leader has also been cub in this level six inches thick, from which the bcati prospects out of any of the reefs yeb soon thero by the manager have been obtained.
