THAMES.
A well-attended public meeting, to take into consideration tho advisability of running a labour candidate for the Thames, was held in the Academy of Music last night. The Mayor was voted to the chair. It was resolved that the working men of the Thames take steps to elect a man from amongst thomuelves to represent them in the coming Parliament. A Committee of twelve was appointed in connection with the matter, and the meeting terminated. It is probable that Mr E. H. Taylor will be asked, anil will consent, to oppose Mr Cadman;
