C 3 Timartj, this day. At the Supreme Court James McCauley, an old offender, who explained that he had a mania that way when drunk was sentenced to 5 years' penal servitude for forging and uttering cheques and obtaining money on the orders of the R.M. at Oarnaru. The man charged with wife desertion and arrested in New South Wales was let off by the Grand Jury.
