PEOPLE'S POPULAR CONCERTS.
There was a very large audience at the City Hall on Saturday evening, attracted by the new programme provided by Miss Amy Vaughan'B Amazon Company. The first part of the performance introduced a very pretty garden scene, the stage being decorated with evergreens. The soags were well rendered, encores apparently inevitable, while the choruses were rendered very well indeed. A humorous sketch entitled •" The Wild Wesb Show" provoked much amusement, and was a fitting conclusion to the first part of the programme. After the customary interval Miss May Travers and Mis 3 Wyniard sang the duet " The Lily and the Rose " very nicely, while the Roman rings acb by Miss Stella and Messrs Dickson and Mackinini also proved an attractive item. The Misses Amy and Annie Vaughan contributed the duet " England and Ireland's Own," in a highly enjoyable manner, and the item was repeated in response to an imperative encore. A sand-jig by Miss Wyniard also provoked a recall and waa repeated, and the entertainment waa brought to a close by a laughable farce, which sent the audience off in excellent humour.
