A fair morning's work was got through. Payten's two-year-olds were sent along merrily, Corvette being tho beat. Mark Thompson exercised Übfcer, Upper Ten, Fairfield, Rosina and Sulphutta, who will prove dangerous in the minor handicaps. Utter is looking specially well. Lawyer put in a strong round. Gre3ford and Prelude ran five furlongs in 1.9.
Sultan and Shootover are scratched ior the Caulfield Cup.
Melbourne, Saturday.
Cuirassier and Leopold arrived ab Caulfiold to-day, where tho Queenslanders, Abacus, Yowi, and King William, are doing good work, especially the former, who is moving with greab freedom. Cuirassier looks a bit beefy aboub tho neck and shoulders, but Leopold is in Bplendid condition.
The ex-Auckland jumper Warwick was submitted to auction in Sydney last week, and found a purchaser in Mr J. Kerr for 34 guineas. Vanguard, who paid the sensational dividend at Takapnna, was passed in, the bidding not reaching the reserve.
