THE GUM THEFTS.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —I WQ3 sorry to see in your paper of Monday night a mistake in the charges made againat the unfoitunate lads for gum stealing. The number of charges readout in Court was 21, not 3] as your report stated. It is bad, without making ib out »vor3e than it is. I feel sorry for their parents, as thoy are most respectable. Ono, the lad Rogers having had no father for several years, it makes it all tho more painful for his mother, but bad company is the cause of it all.—l am, etc.,
A Parent.
